Hi Joseph,
I had given to me a Levin guitar that belonged to my dad that would be from back in the 1950s to 60s just last week. It needs doing up and I'm interested to know more about these guitars as this is very senrimental to me. Please can you fill me in on some more information about the brand and how come for this age of the guitar you said you couldn't afford them. How much is one this old worth?, and how much will I be looking at to have it fixed up and done up?

Is right Alan, get your drift now.

The sort out is done, I don't have to sit with no ties no more.

I have put my foot down with a firm hand.....:-)

Spring is on its way, and that is when you see the best of this part of the world in my opinion...

all the best to you.....Joseph

I have not found the time to visit the Deltablues site much yet, but will do as I want to try out some of the Hooker stuff. I have been watching a lot of old Hooker, T Bone, Otis Rush, Magic Sam videos on youtube and trying to pick up one or two things. When I do go to the Deltablues site if I am working I will send the lad a dropsy...Just got to find some work here in Sweden first. What did you mean by "shock some of the ties" ?

Nice pics and description Joe. I got the alpha pots from GFS but a switchcraft toggle
switch on mine. The other thing I forgot to mention is that my guitars have a ebony
donut glued onto the "treble-rythmn" switch plate to protect the toggle more and
it looks cool. I make my own out of walnut stained to resemble ebony. It looks
almost like the rubber switch grommets on the Gibson L5, Es-175, and Epiphone Broadway
Elitist.
Did your wiring harness come with the Gibson vintage cloth wire? I bought mine
separately from another online source (guitarpartsresource) which have Gibson parts.
and switchcraft switches.

You are an amazing human being and you write brilliantly - sharp, to the point and no drama - yet very emotional.
